THE TEAM

Angela et Hugo

We are Angela Quiblier and Hugo Foizel, the first two “young sprouts” of this project. We met while studying oenology at Dijon.

We never thought we would take part in such an adventure, but our common passion for wine and our encounter with Thibault Liger-Belair provided us this opportunity and a real chance towards our future project.

This is a unique experience for us; we have access to a real apprenticeship in wine-growing and to be decision-makers in multiple subjects. We are surrounded by many professionals and learn a great deal from their expertise.

We also have the possibility of being part of a wine-growing community and have access to future opportunities to buy or rent vines.

To council and guide us:

Thibault Liger-Belair. Wine-grower at Nuits St-Georges since 2001 and at Moulin à Vent since 2009. Thibault helps us with the technical aspect of the vineyard, vinification and overall managing of the estate.

Ivan Massonat. Recent owner of Belargus estate in Anjou, Ivan brings his business skills and knowledge of the enterprise world.

Vigne sécateur

Angela. I started my studies in Canada in Food Science and came back to France to learn oenology.

Originally from Jura, I discovered the wine world thanks to Stephane Tissot. My professional experiences with Mrs Lalou Bize Leroy at Domaine Leroy, then at the Hospices de Beaune with Ludivine Griveau, and finally with Thibault Liger-Belair, allowed me to understand the link between a wine-grower, their vines and its wines.

Hugo. I was born in Champagne (Aube), in the heart of the Côte des Bar. I was not predestined for a wine career until a click in 2014: I wanted to make something from the land with my own hands.

I passed my Advanced Vocational Diploma (BTS) in viticulture oenology through an apprenticeship in Champagne, then continued my studies to obtain the oenology diploma. I have had multiple professional experiences, including at Domaine de Terrebrune in Bandol, then at Domaine de la Romanée Conti and at Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé in Burgundy.

We have the same vision of wine: it is the passion of working every day in the vineyard, and once a year being able to produce wines that are alive and relay that same passion. Our mutual experience at Marie Thérèse Chappaz in the Valais (Switzerland), strengthened our passion and envy to work together. It is unimaginable for us not to work in organic farming, which we both experienced through various jobs. The wine must be the expression of the terroir and of the land it comes from.
