CHÂTEAU CAZEBONNE'S PROJECT

With your support, we will set up a company, Les Amis de Cazebonne SAS, which will acquire an island of 7.22 hectares of vineyards in the Graves appellation (and one hectare of adjoining woods).

At the end of the operation, we will be a hundred co-owners of the vineyards of Cazebonne. You will thus help us to increase the size of the farm, but above all, we are convinced that together, we will be able to build a very nice project together, create an alternative Bordeaux brand, an engaged brand with a focus on the environment and the quest for good taste.

Qualitative organic plots from the start

The plots we want to acquire are very well exposed, with a North-South orientation, and two hillsides separated by a ditch. The plot is naturally well drained, and the soils contain clay to better resist water stress in summer.

There you’ll find superb Merlot with an average age of 50 years, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon for the white. These vines have already been organic for several years.

The vines offer moderate yields every year, but very qualitative. The vineyard was led by a friend, offering superb wines today, who will pass to us the jewel that he pampered for years. He must give it away for health reasons. We wish him and his family the best.

These will crop-shared vines from SCEA Château Cazebonne which will have a total (after current planting) of 45 hectares in production in 2022, all Organic and Biodynamic vines.

A friendly and collaborative project

Once a year, we will meet in Paris or in the vineyards to discuss the vintage of the year, and enjoy it around a good meal.

Each year, you will be paid in cash or bottles, depending on the harvest and you can choose your wines from the range proposed by Château Cazebonne.

You might choose a few bottles of Amongst Friends that you want to put in the cellar or maybe The Great Wine, or a few bottles of Parcellaires Cuvées. Or, you may prefer to have some special bottles of forgotten Bordeaux grape varieties. In short, you will have lots of choices!

We can not end this without inviting you to visit us at the property, to take a tour of the vineyards and see how nature can be beautiful, when it is in an organic state, respectful of the soil and biodiversity.

We look forward to discussing all this with you over a glass of wine.
