At Château Magdeleine Bouhou we are a small team.

MURIEL

As a winemaker's daughter I grew up in Château Magdeleine Bouhou, where since very young I helped my parents and grandparents with the vineyard. I am married to a winemaker. I have always worked in the world of wine and in 2004 I took the reins of the family estate. I do everything I can to continue to make this beautiful property live. I take care of all aspects of life on the property, overseeing the work in the vineyard as well as the cellar. I develop relationships with our private customers and take care of the administrative management of the property. In a small winery you have to be versatile!

FRÉDÉRIC

Frédéric is the head vineyard manager and the cellar master. He takes care of the vineyard and is responsible for the development of the wines. Frédéric comes from a family of winemakers and also owns and cares for a few hectares of vines at his home. He is a great ambassador for the Château, very personable and friendly. Frédéric is committed to our conversion to organic farming. This project is a major part of his vision for the vineyard and the estate.

YANN

Lastly, we have Yann. He is in charge of the marketing and communication of the Château. Being born in Bordeaux and with an oenologist as a mother, Yann quickly turned to the world of wine. He participates in the development of the Château both within France and in the realm of international exports. Yann’s love of wine draws him back to the winery to play a key role in each vintage.

Travaillant dans le monde du vin, journaliste pour Le Paysan Vigneron à Cognac (après cinq années dans différents vignobles de l'est de la France en production), je connais la situation des "petits" du vin, surtout après les dégâts climatiques en 2017 voire 2018. Ainsi, les côtes de Blaye sont sous-estimées, et le fait d'être autonome, travailleur, et passer en BIO ne peut que me pousser à vous soutenir !
